Equine Programs for Health and Well Being

Horses can help us in many ways, from the benefits of physical exercise to mental health.

  • empowerment for the physically handicapped in Para-Equestrian Riding
  • gentle exercise for those with physical issues with Assisted Riding
  • problem solving and stress relief
  • finding your balance through Centered Riding

Our procedures integrate knowledge frameworks based on the Autonomic Nervous System and Emotions, Ground Work, Therapeutic Riding, and Centered Riding TM, with a touch of a Gestalt perspective on the human psyche.  Along with the conviction that riding is an art, emerging from the authentic inner self, this integrated approach uses equine-assisted experiences to help people find their own way to confidence, equality and joy.  Since 1995, a range of regional people, referred by Social Service Agencies, Schools, Group Homes, Physicians, as well as families and neighbours, have repeatedly participated in our programs at Willowbank Equestrian Center, Ontario, Canada.

Willowbank is currently offering new programs with the goal of improved health and well being.
